What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in much the same way. They can be used to make a site function, to remember a choice you have made, or to measure how a site and its adverts are performing.

Essential storage

We store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage under the name cornerstone-consent so that we do not ask you again on every visit. This is required for the consent banner to work and is not used for tracking. Our hosting and form-delivery providers may also set strictly necessary cookies to serve the site securely and to process a form submission.

Advertising and measurement cookies

We use Google Ads conversion tracking so we can tell whether an enquiry came from one of our adverts. The Google tag is only loaded after you select "Accept" on the cookie banner, and when it loads Google may set cookies on your device. We are not able to list the exact cookie names or lifetimes, as these are set and changed by Google.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any other analytics or behavioural tracking on this website.

Third-party embeds

Our "areas we cover" section includes an embedded Google Maps map. Google may set cookies when the map loads, so the map is only loaded after you accept non-essential cookies. If you reject, we show a link to Google Maps instead.

We also load our typefaces from Google Fonts. This is part of the site's appearance and does not set advertising cookies, though Google receives your IP address as part of serving the fonts.

How consent works

On your first visit we show a short banner. Nothing non-essential is loaded until you choose. "Accept" allows the Google Ads tag and the Google map to load; "Reject non-essential" keeps them switched off. Your choice, and the date you made it, is stored locally in your browser.

Changing your choice

You can change your decision at any time using the button below. You can also delete cookies and local storage through your browser's privacy settings, and most browsers let you block cookies altogether — though some parts of websites may then stop working.
